As the owner of the gallery and mentor to its six resident artists, LeeAnne Wright is the creative force at the heart of the studio. A mother of two and oil painter of more than 30 years, she has spent decades honing her craft while encouraging others to find their own artistic voice.

LeeAnne draws endless inspiration from her hometown of Richmond, Virginia, often capturing beloved local landmarks, including the iconic CSX A-Line bridge that has become a recognizable and reoccurring subject in her work. She is equally at home painting vibrant florals, stacks of well-loved books, her favorite neighborhood restaurants, maximalist interiors and al fresco dining tables. 

As the lifeblood of Yellow Door Studio, LeeAnne wears many hats: artist, teacher, marketer, website manager, art handler, confidant, coach, and vibe-creator. Keeping all the plates spinning isn't always glamorous, but helping artists thrive and connecting people with the art she loves has meant the world to her - every damn bit of it.
